Nutella has SEVEN TIMES as much sugar per serving as peanut butter – 21 grams versus 3 grams, while peanut butter offers 7 grams of protein, much better than Nutella’s 3 grams.
What this means:
If PB & Jelly sandwiches are your main use of peanut butter, Nutella can be a fun alternative. But standalone, peanut butter seems the healthier choice.
What to look for at the Supermarket:
Nutella and peanut butter can be found in the same shelf area. If you want a sweet treat, go Nutella. Otherwise, stick with peanut butter.
